Voters went to bed last night not knowing who won Wisconsin’s race for the U.S. Senate and gubernatorial races in part because Milwaukee County didn’t count all of the votes.
The city of Milwaukee delivered its votes at about 11:00 p.m. last night, but delays kept the county from reporting all of its votes before 3:00 a.m.
The lack of a final vote count left the U.S. Senate race between Ron Johnson and Mandela Barnes too close to call, though Johnson told his supporters early this morning that the race “is over.”
