Carol J. Gauger, age 74, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the home of her sister Laurie Wegforth with family by her side after a battle with brain cancer.
Carol was born on December 28, 1947 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Isabel Kasbaum Brennan. Carol was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1966. After high school she was employed with Mirro Aluminum (Newell Company) until they closed operation in Manitowoc. Carol then worked for various local families doing cleaning services at their residences. On October 18, 1975 she married Wilfred M. Gauger at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Carol enjoyed going to concerts with her husband Will. She loved music and enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Will, six grandchildren, Alex, Anthony, Taffron, Reese, Randy, and Remi; my brother, William Brennan, Manitowoc; my four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Eileen and Harvey Mleziva, rural Manitowoc, Bonita Brennan, Manitowoc, Laurie Wegforth, Manitowoc, and Maureen and Dennis Lehman, Clarks Mills; brother-in-law: David Anderson, rural Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Isabel Brennan, daughter, Heather Gauger, sister, Joanne Anderson, and brother-in-law, Thomas Wegforth.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, 2601 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment to follow at the mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at Calvary Mausoleum on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.
