
The Manitowoc Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying a canine involved in a biting incident.
Officers were called to Blue Rail Park at around 3:50 p.m. Monday.
The victim told police that he was walking on the walkway by the fenced-in dog area near the lighthouse when he was attacked by the dog, which is described as an adult-sized, black and white border collie or Australian Cattle dog.
The attacking dog and a second canine then fled the scene with their owner, leaving the victim needing medical attention.
The owner is described as a white man with light-colored hair, and he is believed to have been wearing a blue or green colored jacket and tan pants.
