A large number of Manitowoc voters decided to cast their votes early.
City Hall was open this weekend to take last-minute absentee ballots, and in total, 4,047 ballots have been received by the City Clerk’s Office.
With 18,517 registered voters in the city, that means 21.8% of all registered voters in the Clipper City took advantage of early voting options.
For comparison, the City of Madison released its numbers, and out of just over 184,000 registered voters, 71,000 people have returned early votes, with 20,000 doing so in person.
That is 38% of all registered voters in the state capitol.
