The Manitowoc woman who was behind the wheel during a crash that killed her granddaughter has been convicted.
52-year-old Monica Walker was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle.
Walker was driving on I-43 on February 8th of last year with her 9-year-old granddaughter Tykia Brewer, when she hit an icy patch of road.

Officer had Walker blow into a breathalyzer, which came back with a BAC of .092, which is above the .08 legal limit.
She is due back in court on February 6th for her sentencing, where she could be forced to spend up to 40 years in prison.
