A Manitowoc man is facing charges after allegedly attacking his friend with a knife.
Officers were sent to a home in the area of North 13th Street and New York Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. last week Friday after dispatch reported a call about an altercation.
Officers arrived to find a group of people outside, with a woman holding a man with a knife down in the yard.
After removing a knife from his hands, the group was separated.
One of the individuals told the officer he had gone to the 25-year-old suspect’s home to check on him, but after a short conversation, the man began punching him.
The man attempted to leave, but the suspect continued punching him.
He was able to leave the house, but the suspect reportedly continued to follow him with a knife, and allegedly cut him with it.
Two female witnesses corroborated the man’s story, and the suspect was arrested on charges of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Disorderly Conduct, and three Counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, all with the enhancer of being With a Dangerous Weapon.
