We have some answers now for several questions arising from last Wednesday morning’s big warehouse fire in Manitowoc.
Fire Chief Todd Blaser tells reporters the cause of the fire in a building at 102 Revere Drive remains under investigation but he doesn’t suspect any criminal activity caused it.
The chief indicated the building was a total loss and he has ordered the structure to be razed because it was an imminent danger to the public.
One of the building’s tenants, Josh Bower, used it for his company, J&M Professional Services for landscaping, general contracting and snow removal.
A dollar loss for the building and its contents has not yet been determined.
The 21st Street bridge had to be shut down to traffic for much of the day as fire crews dealt with the fire and its aftermath.
It took firefighters over 3 hours to contain the flames Wednesday.
