Those who are interested in partaking in the sturgeon fishing season are being reminded that they only have a few days left to get their license.
The DNR is reminding anglers that sturgeon licenses must be bought by October 31st for the 2023 season.
The season will run for a maximum of 16 days on Lake Winnebago and the Upriver Lakes, or until any of the pre-determined harvest caps are reached.
Both resident and nonresident licenses can be purchased through the GoWild system or at any license sales location.
All license holders must be at least 12 years old.
More information on harvest trends and management for the Lake Winnebago sturgeon fishery can be found on the DNR’s sturgeon spearing webpage.
