Wisconsin 6th District Congressman Glen Grothman is criticizing the amount of out-of-state spending on TV campaign ads as we near the November 8th election.
During an appearance on WCUB’s Breakfast Club Monday (October 25th), Grothman said, a lot of money is pouring in from the coasts.
“My buddy Tim Michels, he is going to be outspent, maybe not 2 to 1 but close to 2 to 1,” Grothman explained. “It really is a shame when money determines a race. I hope that’s not what happens here. These billionaires from New York, the billionaires from California think they own the country.”
The Republican representative says he also sees a lot of Senator Ron Johnson who has opposition from Democrat Mandela Barnes two weeks from today.
“[Barnes] also has a lot of money being spent out of state on him,” Grothman said. “I’m told the week coming up that [Johnson] is going to be outspent 2 to 1, just for this week.”
Grothman added, “We don’t have the money, but (we do) have some really good candidates and we gotta fight back this liberal extremism.”
