A leader in the local Clipper City Chordsmen has joined a select group of barbershop harmony members.
Jim Rasmus was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Land O’ Lakes District of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Rasmus is one of only a handful of recipients in the lakeshore area to ever receive this honor.
He joins the International Champion Schmitt Brothers Quartet from Two Rivers, along with David Olsen, Bob Fricke, and Robert Brey.
The award gives recognition from the Land O’ Lakes District to those who have made exceptional, long-standing, continuing, dedicated and devoted contributions to their district, local chapter, and community.
Jim Rasmus has been a member of the Clipper City Chordsmen for 13 years, once served as their president, is vice-president of membership, sings as a bass with them, and has been part of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 16 years.
He’s been very active in guiding the Wisconsin Youth In Harmony activities and was just installed as the Vice President for the Land o’ Lakes East Region.
