
The man responsible for the killing of David Posey last year has been sentenced.
Denell Logan was previously convicted of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide and was sentenced to spend 35 years in prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
Officers were called that early February morning to the area of South Marr Street on a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Posey, who was driving the car, was found to be severely injured from the crash and had a gunshot wound in his leg.
He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
It was later determined that Logan has attempted to buy cocaine from Posey, a deal that went sour. Logan then shot Posey, who fled in his vehicle.
Callie Bender was previously convicted of buying Logan the gun that was used in the shooting and was sentenced to spend two years in prison.
