The accolades keep rolling in for the young men that sprang into action during a train derailment over the summer.
The Scouts from Troops 12 and 73 in Appleton were honored inside the Lambeau Field Atrium last night as they received Heroism Awards from the Boy Scouts of America.
The Scouts were on board the Amtrak train as they were on their way back from a hiking trip in New Mexico when the train slammed into a dump truck.
The train derailed, and numerous people were injured.
The young men didn’t hesitate and began helping those who were injured.
Not only were friends and family on hand to honor the scouts, but Packer Running Back Aaron Jones was also there to recognize their bravery.
