There are a lot of statewide races on the upcoming ballot, but one that has not gotten as much attention is the race for Secretary of State.
Incumbent Douglas J. La Follettee is being challenged by Amy Loudenbeck, who is currently serving as the Representative for District 31 in the State Assembly.
Loudenbeck made a stop at Dairyland Farm in Brown County on National Farmers Day, where she received an endorsement from the Wisconsin Dairy Alliance.
Loudenbeck spoke with Seehafer News about why this endorsement was so important to her.
“Out of all the endorsements I have received in my campaign, the ones that come from the hard-working people of Wisconsin who put their boots on and work every day and earn the paycheck mean the most,” she said. “The contrast between me and my opponent is clear. I want to do the job with integrity, and restore purpose and respect to the office.”
Larry and Patty Dufek are the owners of Dairyland Farm, which is a member of the Wisconsin Dairy Alliance.
Larry said this endorsement is all about one thing, helping the agriculture industry.
“I think it’s really important that we all work together and try to find solutions for the environment and keep agriculture strong in the state of Wisconsin,” he said. “It’s been the backbone of the state and the hardworking Americans.”
Cindy Leitner, the President of Wisconsin Dairy Alliance was also on hand and said, “We think she can bring modernization to the position and integrity, particularly in our elections.”
