Today is a day for chainsaws and weather maps.
Some folks in southeastern Wisconsin will continue cleaning-up downed tree limbs after a line of rare October tornadoes rolled across the area.
The National Weather Service will spend the day figuring out whether the damage came from tornadoes themselves or just straight line winds.
Forecasters say it’s not unheard of to have tornadoes in Wisconsin in October, but it is not common.
WE Energies says at the worst of it, 22,000 people were without power.
As of 1:00 a.m. that was down to just 25 people.
The weather also caused a half-day for the jury in the Waukesha Christmas Parade trial.
Darrell Brooks Jr. was cross-examining witnesses when the tornado sirens sounded and the judge sent everyone home for the day.
Prosecutors continue to call on the victims of the attack at the parade last year, and Brooks continues to ask them if they saw the driver of the red SUV that sped through the crowd.
None of the witnesses so far have said they saw Brooks.
The case continues today.
