Two and a half years after the world came to a stop due to the spread of COVID-19, Manitowoc County has surpassed a not-so-happy milestone.
County Health Officer Stephanie Lambert is reporting the 200th COVID-related death in the County.
The first COVID death was reported in the County on April 26th, 2020, which was just over three weeks after the first case was reported.
It’s not all bad news, however, as Lambert also reports that an updated COVID-19 bivalent booster is now available.
She told Seehafer News that “The vaccines have been updated to better protect against the circulating variants of the COVID virus, similar to why we update our flu vaccine each season.”
