The latest Honor Flight is returning to Green Bay this weekend, and the public is invited to welcome the veterans home.
Honor Flight has been taking Korean and Vietnam War veterans from around the state to Washington D.C. to view the monuments and tour the city.
The return flight is expected to land at the Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday and the public is invited to participate in a welcome home ceremony.
One of the individuals on the flight is Kent Reeves, who is very active in the community.
Reeves is a part of numerous local veterans groups, is a member of the Prevent Suicide Manitowoc County Board, and is a QPR trainer.
A contingent from Manitowoc will be on hand to welcome Reeves and the rest of our nation’s heroes back to Wisconsin.
There are also two more flights arriving at Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport at around the same time.
