With leaves beginning to fall from trees in the area, what to do with them is a big problem for homeowners.
In Kiel, City employees will begin their leaf pickup service on Monday (October 10th).
The City of Kiel is reminding residents to place leaves in the gutter area in front of their homes.
Leaves should be raked into long narrow rows, not in large piles.
Those may be the best to jump in, but they are not ideal for leaf pickup.
Light mulch can also be included, but you should NOT include items such as sticks, grass clippings, or dog feces as these items can wreck the vacuum.
The cleanup efforts will continue through November 18th.
