Manitowoc County Ag Educator Angie Ulness
Dairy experts from around the globe have converged in Madison this week for the World Dairy Expo.
The Expo first began in 1966 and has been the premier forum for dairy producers, companies, organizations, and other dairy enthusiasts to come together to compete and exchange ideas, knowledge, technology, and commerce.
Manitowoc County Ag Educatior Angie Ulness is actually in Madison for the Expo today.
She told Seehafer News, “We have some of our research that will be displayed there, as well as answering some questions on topics we go out and educate the public about.”
There are also six dairy farms from the area that will be showing the world what dairy farming is all about in Manitowoc County.
“Farms are showcasing their red and white Holsteins, their Jersey, and their black and white Holsteins,” Ulness explained.
She said they will also “compete against cattle all around the United States and Canada.”
