The Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director has announced that he will be moving on from his current position.
Travis Waack, who helped lead Manitowoc County through the pandemic, told Seehafer News this morning that he has accepted a role with Wisconsin Emergency Management, which will take effect on October 19th.
He will still be working a lot in Manitowoc County, as his new position is based at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant.
In his statement, Waack said, “It’s been an honor and a privilege to serve in this role and I thank you all for your hard work and dedication to the community.”
More information on Waack’s replacement will be announced in the coming days.
