
Two Deputies with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office are being praised for their quick thinking to save an individual who had threatened to jump from a bridge.
According to information released by the Sheriff’s Office, an individual was threatening to jump off of the Highway 144 bridge in the Town of Sherman, near Random Lake .
Deputies LaPean and Becker arrived on the scene and tried to talk the individual down. However, the individual began to climb over the railing.
Deputy Becker, who was only been with the Department for three months, sprang into action and sprinted toward the individual.
He was able to pull the would-be jumper back over the railing.
LaPean, who has 13 and a half years on the force, and Becker then provided follow-up care, as medical teams arrived to assist.
