A man was arrested last Friday for driving under the influence.
An officer was parked in the Subway parking lot on Washington Street at 11:30 p.m. when he watched as a Jeep traveling north on South 10th Street, blew through a red light at the intersection with Washington.
The officer took chase and pulled over the vehicle in the Pizza Hut parking lot.
The driver then exited and fled on foot for a short distance before stopping.
The officer noted that the 33-year-old man was stumbling and showing other signs of intoxication.
The man was given a field sobriety test, which he failed.
The man was arrested on his 5th OWI offense.
