The City of Sheboygan’s Water Utility rates is expected to go up soon.
The Board of Water Commissioners recently met, where they reviewed their rates and estimated costs for current and future projects.
In order to pay for the new Raw Water Intake, both for its construction and the ongoing operation of it, the Utility determined they will need to increase the rates at some point.
The exact price of that rate increase has not yet been determined, and none have even been proposed.
The City will first have to get approval from Wisconsin Public Service before implementing any changes.
