The woman who died following a crash in Calumet County earlier this week has been identified.
Authorities are saying 52-year-old Patricia Nau of Neenah was traveling east on Highway 114 at around 730 Tuesday morning.
It is believed the glaring sun didn’t allow her to see an oncoming dump truck, resulting in her turning in front of it as she attempted to enter State Park Road.
Nau’s vehicle ended up underneath the truck and started on fire. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 47-year-old Greenleaf man driving the truck only suffered minor injuries.
The sun’s glare is also believed to have played a factor in the crash that killed a 48-year-old St. Nazianz man last week.
His name has not yet been released.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating that crash and is expected to release his identity soon.
