
One of the two people believed to be responsible for the 2020 murder of Codie Schultz had his jury trial begin yesterday.
Waylon Wayman has been charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon, and Felony Bail Jumping.
Clarence Graveen is also charged in the case, but his trial does not begin until December.
The duo is accused of shooting Schultz at around 1:00 a.m. on April 1st, 2020.
The incident occurred in the area of Clinton Street and 12th Avenue.
Police reports indicate that Wayman thought Shultz had stolen $900 and some meth from him.
Wayman’s trial is scheduled to last five days in front of Judge Kendall Kelley.
