The School of Agriculture at Lakeshore Technical College has been awarded $25,000 through Compeer Financial’s Agriculture and Rural Initiative.
These funds will be used to purchase an additional calf and ultrasound simulator that provides students the opportunity to practice animal health care techniques in a safe environment.
LTC also stated that they will invest in a plant system, crop scanner, and materials for outreach and recruitment. Lakeshore Technical College also received two $1,250 scholarships to award to students enrolled in agriculture programs.
LTC President Dr. Paul Carlson voiced the College’s appreciation to Compeer, noting “The additional tools and equipment we are acquiring will allow us to bring agriculture excitement to more classrooms on campus and high schools.”
