The Green Bay Police Department has announced that they are taking corrective action against the officer who pulled AJ Dillon back from the crowd during this summer’s soccer match at Lambeau Field.
A fan video shows the Packer running back gearing up for a Lambeau Leap during a rain delay at the Manchester City vs FC Bayern Munich soccer match on July 23rd.
Then, an officer pulled Dillon back, before finally letting him jump.
Police Chief Chris Davis issued a statement, where he apologized for the way Dillon was treated.
He went on to say, “We appreciate the strong relationship we have with the Packers organization, and the GBPD remains committed to working with them along with the entire Green Bay community to provide the best and most professional police service possible.”
The details of what corrective action was taken were not released.
Dillon responded on Twitter shortly after the situation calling it a “miscommunication between parties”.
