American Legion posts in Manitowoc County are inviting high school students in the county to compete in their annual American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program.
The subject in the prepared oration portion of the contest must be about some phase of the Constitution of the United States, emphasizing the duties and obligations of a citizen to the U. S. government.
There are two levels to the competition, the first of which will be held on December 15th.
Numerous scholarships will be handed out by each post, and for the County winner.
The American Legion will pay the expenses of all winning speakers who advance beyond the Manitowoc County competition.
