The Manitowoc Police Department is looking for the owner of a dog that was involved in a biting incident yesterday morning.
Lieutenant Cooper Schmidt reports that the victim was walking in the 900 block of South 19th Street at around 8:45 a.m. when they bent down to pet the canine.
The dog then reportedly bit the victim in the face, which required medical attention.
The dog’s owner is described as a shorter female, and the dog is believed to be a terrier mix that is brown or grey in color.
It is not clear if the dog was vaccinated or not.
