It’s Fall Cleanup time at Manitowoc’s Evergreen Cemetery.
Manitowoc’s Cemetery Division is asking for your help in clearing all summer decorations in order to help maintain Evergreen Cemetery’s park-like beauty.
Lot owners are respectfully asked to remove their summer decorations such as flowers, or statues by October 1st.
Any items not removed by October 1st will be disposed of by cemetery staff, and any perennials found on gravesites will be cut down to ground level.
Winter decorations should not be placed until November 15th.
As a reminder, decorations should be kept close to the marker, so as to minimize damage from snow blowing for a grave opening in the nearby area.
During the winter months, artificial flowers should be put in a container instead of placed in the ground.
