Paul F. Stangel, age 87, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Shady Lane Assisted Living, Manitowoc.
Paul was born on January 29, 1935 in Manitowoc to the late Richard and Alice Schleis Stangel. He had worked at Mirro Aluminum for 44 years until his retirement in 1997. On October 27, 1990, Paul married Mardell Rosinsky at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He enjoyed spending his time biking. Paul was a member of Lakeshore Peddlers, Manitowoc Senior Center Bike Club, St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc, and the Knights of Columbus Council 710 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include Paul’s wife: Mardell; two children: Steven (Kim) Stangel, Indianapolis, IN; and Stella (Greg) Ragsdale, De Pere; three step-daughters: Sandy (Steve) Narten, Linda Horbeck, and Terry (Ray) Kunesh, all of Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Dane, Drew, Brendan, and Madison; five step-grandchildren: Tracey, Rae, Stephanie, Scott and Tiffany; three step-great grandchildren: Taylor, Shelby, and Colson; brother: Bernard “Casey” (Cathy) Stangel, Manitowoc; sister: Catherine (Al) Zellner, Two Creeks; and also other relatives and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Alice Stangel.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Jason Blahnik. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m.
