Manitowoc Lincoln opened FRCC Girls Volleyball play last night with a sweep of Green Bay Preble.
The Ships prevailed over the Hornets 25-9, 25-6 and 25-12. Nena Swoboda and Maddie York led the way with 7-kills apiece, Laurin Hamann and Grace Fruzen posted 14 and 12 digs, respectively.
Swoboda added 6 aces and Fruzen contributed 16-assists in Lincoln’s conference opener.
Also in the FRCC, Bay Port swept past Sheboygan South.
In EWC Girls Volleyball, Kiel defeated Two Rivers in 3-sets 25-18, 25-13 and 25-16.
Allyson Kakes led TR with 12 kills and 10 digs, Shelby Gulseth had 14 assists and Claire McGinty added 6 kills and 5 assists.
Also Sheboygan Falls beat New Holstein 3-to-1.
In Big East Conference Volleyball, Manitowoc Lutheran outlasted Hilbert 3-to-2, Oostburg swept Random Lake and St. Mary Catholic also defeated Kohler in 3 sets.
