The Board of Directors for CentralStar Cooperative has announced the recipients of their latest round of scholarships, and a Manitowoc native is on the list.
Jenna Gries, who is attending UW Madison, is among eight students from around the Midwest who each received $1,000 toward their schooling.
CentralStar, which serves dairy and beef producers in the upper Midwest, asked applicants to summarize their involvement and experiences that demonstrate their commitment to the agriculture industry.
In addition, they answered five, short essays on various topics: agriculture-industry involvement, community volunteering, work experience, awards, and plans for the future.
