A 16-year-old De Pere girl is dead following a crash in Calumet County late last week.
The crash occurred on Thursday at around 7:45 p.m. Calumet County Sherriff’s Deputies responded to the crash on Lemke Road, north of Highway 151 in the Town of Charleston.
The teen was driving when she went off the road and struck a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene while a 17-year-old Green Bay boy was airlifted to a Neenah hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
While speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said that there were no indications that alcohol or drugs were involved.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family of the deceased teen.
