Victory Caratini put his team on top to stay with a three-run home run in the top of the sixth inning on the way to a 6-4 Brewers win at Colorado.
Adrian Houser replaced Freddy Peralta as the starter and picked up his fifth win. Houser was solid after giving up three runs in the first inning.
The Brewers are trying to work their way out of a mid-season slump and qualify for the postseason for the fifth straight year.
They trail the Phillies by two games for the final National League wild-card spot.
