The Manitowoc Public Library is offering a program this month entitled Bountiful: Harvesting & Saving Your Own Seeds.
It is being held in the Balkansky Community Room on Saturday, September 24th from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Manitowoc County Master Gardeners and Lakeshore Seed Collective will be on hand for a “basic botany talk on flower anatomy, pollination and seed production.”
There will be a demonstration of all the different types of seeds that have been collected in their gardens and in the wild.
Those in attendance will be shown how to harvest their own vegetable seeds, with both wet and dry methods.
And, attendees have the opportunity to take free seeds home for their 2023 gardens.
