Associated Bank has announced the upcoming closure of seven of its Wisconsin branches, including one in Manitowoc.
The branch in the Manitowoc Festival Food store will be closing up, along with locations in Eau Claire, Madison, Marshfield, Schofield, Suamico, and Neenah.
This will all go into effect on November 18th, however not all of the staff is being left out in the cold.
Associated has stated that they will be working with the staff at these branches to get them new roles within the company.
This is reportedly a part of a consolidation effort, which is also affecting six branches in Illinois.
As more and more people turn to online banking through the bank’s website and ever-improving app technology, fewer people are physically walking into banks than ever before.
