The victim and suspect involved in a recent hit-and-run in Door County have been identified.
According to the Door County Sheriff’s Office, 71-year-old Marilyn Vandenbogart was walking on Gordon Road in Sevastopol, near her home, when she was struck by a vehicle being driven by 43-year-old Joshua J. Gann of Sturgeon Bay.
He fled on foot but was caught a short time later.
Vandenbogart died from her injuries.
Gann has been charged with Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle and had his bond set at $500,000 cash.
It is not clear when he will be back in court.
