The business landscape in Two Rivers is looking very good according to City Manager Greg Buckley.
There are two new businesses being worked on right now, while an old business is getting a facelift.
One of those new businesses is Cool City Brewing, which is bringing the craft brewing industry into Two Rivers.
Buckley told Seehafer News that work is currently being done on the exterior of the old Wells Fargo building in downtown Two Rivers.
“That’s about a $2.2 million plus project in the middle of downtown,” the City Manager explained. “[The] City is pleased to assist that with a Community Development Incentive grant through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.”
Also coming soon to the downtown area is a new coffee shop.
“High Lift Coffee is a project of Emilee Rysticken, the owner of Scream N’ Conuts,” Buckley said. “She is renovating the former gas station at the corner of 12th and Madison Streets.”
Buckley said both projects are coming along nicely and are benefiting from $10,000 façade grants from the City.
Meanwhile, work is being done on the former Rudy’s Lanes building, now owned by Tim and Ann Klein. Buckley revealed that they also received a $10,000 façade grant.
Buckley said the city would like to “congratulate Tim Klein as the owner of this long established business, and look forward to many more years of having a downtown bowling alley.”
The Klein’s intend to rename the business “Hook, Lanes and Games”.
No opening dates have been announced for any of those projects.
