A Manitowoc man has been arrested after he allegedly physically abused a child.
Officers were dispatched to a residence at around 11:00 last night (August 29th) after a woman claimed her boyfriend was being physically abusive.
The woman explained that she had come home from work just after 8:30 p.m. and found the children that live there all awake.
She began putting the kids to bed when she heard her boyfriend yelling at and hitting the children.
He then told the woman to make sure there was no visible damage on the children.
The child told the woman that the suspect had hit him and had visible injuries.
The man went to work, after which the woman called the Manitowoc Police Department.
The officers went to where the man was working and arrested him.
The man admitted to getting frustrated with the children and admitted to hitting them.
He told police that raising kids is hard but that “doesn’t give [him] the right to do what [he] did.”
The 32-year-old man has been charged with one count of Physical Abuse of a Child.
