The Manitowoc Public Library is inviting members of the public to help out with the cleaning of the Lincoln High School Beach in September.
The Nurdle Patrol and beach clean up day will be held on September 17th, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Lincoln High School.
A nurdle is defined as “a very small pellet of plastic which serves as raw material in the manufacture of plastic products,” and they sometimes make their way onto beaches.
The group will meet in the high school parking lot on South 9th Street and will spend the next hour or so cleaning up the beach.
You can sign up online prior to the event at Adopt.GreatLakes.org.
