A former Two Rivers teacher will be standing trial after she pleaded not guilty in Manitowoc County Court yesterday.
34-year-old Rebecca Kilps is accused of sexually assaulting a student.
The investigation into the situation began in late May when a detective was contacted by a school social worker.
They were told by a student that they had a sexual relationship with Kilps.
Her husband also told detectives that he saw messages on her phone between herself and the victim talking about their future together and that they loved each other.
The 17-year-old victim told authorities that the situation went too far, and they had engaged in sex twice at her home.
Kilps is free on a $10,000 cash bond.
