
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ three-game losing streak came to an emphatic end yesterday.
The Rattlers scattered 15 hits, including two home runs in their 13-2 pasting of the Lansing Lugnuts.
Stivin Cruz had a near flawless start on the mound, only giving up 1 hit and 1 walk over six innings of work while striking out 7 batters.
Three relievers combined to close out the game allowing only two more hits, and two runs.
Offensively, Eduardo Garcia had a night to remember, going 3 for 5 and hitting a solo home run in the 8th inning, Ben Metzinger had the other home run, while Ethan Murray was a perfect 3 for 3.
Six Rattler batters had at least two hits, with only three batters not getting any.
The two teams are back at it tonight at Fox Cities Stadium.
Brady Schanuel will make his second start as a Rattler against Joey Estes.
First pitch is slated for 6:40 p.m. on Dinosaur Night at the park.
