Robert John Scheinoha, age 73, a resident of Sheboygan, entered eternal life on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Sheboygan Progressive Nursing Home in Sheboygan.
Bob was born on June 22, 1949 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Howard and Lila Dufek Scheinoha. Bob began his education at Holy Innocents Catholic Grade School and graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1967. He then enlisted in the United States Army in October 1967 and served his country overseas during the Vietnam War. Bob was honorably discharged in October 1970 with the rank of SP5. He received the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Marksman (Rifle) Combat Medial Badge. Bob was employed as a cast technician from 1971 until 2003 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
He is survived by his brother, John R. Scheinoha, Manitowoc, four sisters, Jeanne M. Scheinoha (significant other, John Veireg) Manitowoc, Sue A. Scheinoha, Mishicot, Mary F. Scheinoha, Concord, CA, Margaret B. Scheinoha (Neville Keller), Chicago, IL; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lila Scheinoha, brother, William H. Scheinoha, brother-in-law, Eric E. Olesewski along with nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Matthew Colle. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc with military honors accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #731. Following the services at Evergreen Cemetery a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
