The DNR has announced a few changes for the 2022 hunting season.
Starting with the open-water waterfowl season.
Hunters may now hunt in the open waters of the Great Lakes, Green Bay, and Big Green Lake as long as they are a minimum distance of 500 feet from shore.
Also, those who take part in the annual squirrel hunt will have four more weeks to collect their harvest.
The season will close on February 28th as opposed to the last day of January as is tradition.
The 2022 combined Hunting Regulations pamphlet is now available on the DNR website and will soon be available at licensed agents and open service centers around the state.
