With its’ 2nd game of the season coming up Friday night in lower Michigan, the Manitowoc Lincoln varsity football team and its’ fans are leaving on the SS Badger car ferry this afternoon (August 24th).
The Shipbuilders meet up with the Sailors of Mona Shores High School in the first of a planned series called the “Battle of the Badger” between Lincoln and the Muskegon-area school.
It’ll be the season opener for Mona Shores, the 2019 and 2020 Division-2 state champions, and a team that posted an 8-3 mark a year ago.
Meanwhile, Coach Greg Enz will expect his team to show improvement following their 44-21 road loss to Appleton West last Thursday.
The Manitowoc Lincoln/Mona Shores ballgame Friday night will be broadcast on 107.9 FM WOMT, courtesy of Sailor Nation Sports Network, starting at 5:30 our time.
The kickoff is set for 6:00 P.M.
