A Kenosha police officer has been fired after accusations he assaulted a woman while she was in custody at a hospital.
27-year-old Joshua Sylvester was a probationary officer at the time.
Sylvester has been charged with second-degree sexual assault by a law enforcement officer and misconduct, both felonies.
The 34-year-old victim was in Sylvester’s custody after she was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Police say her allegations were supported by Sylvester’s own body camera.
