City officials in Green Bay are once again discussing a flag ban.
A similar policy was shot down in June, with the Council splitting their vote, and Mayor Eric Genrich casting the deciding vote against it.
The initial discussion began after Mayor Genrich approve the flying of the LGBTQ+ Pride flag at City Hall during Pride Month for the first time.
Many alders are looking to ban the flying of any flag that is not a city, state, or American flag.
One alder said that the city should not be promoting any political or social ideology, while others say the flag represented the opposition to prejudice.
A policy is being written up right now, and it will go before the common council later this year.
