Eleven current and former Badgers will play in the 2022 International Ice Hockey Federal Women’s World Cup Championship this weekend in Denmark.
The tournament started Tuesday (August 23rd) and runs through Monday.
Senior Jesse Compher, sophomore Lacey Eden, and freshman Caroline Harvey will join former Badger stars Hilary Knight and Abby Roque on the U-S roster.
Knight is scheduled to be inducted into the U-W Athletics Hall of Fame next month. Six former Badgers are on the roster for Team Canada, the defending champions – Kristen Campbell, Emily Clark, Ann-Renee Desbiens, Meaghan Mikkelson, Sarah Nurse, and Blayre Turnbull.
The U-S meets Japan tomorrow in the first round, with Canada taking on Finland.
