The Big Ten Network is listing Badgers linebacker Nick Herbig among the top 30 football players in the conference.
The junior Herbig slots in at number eight.
Network analyst Joshua Perry says, “At Wisconsin, defense is key, and Herbig is the next linebacker to take the throne.”
Herbig led the conference in pass rush win rate last year as a sophomore.
He had nine sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss to go with four pass deflections and two forced fumbles.
If he meets all expectations Herbig would likely leave college football early for the NFL.
