The Big Ten Conference has signed a new seven-and-a-half-billion dollar media rights deal with three major networks.
The agreement announced Thursday will create an NFL-like television schedule on Saturdays.
Fox, CBS, and NBC will share the rights to the conference’s football and basketball games for the next seven years.
The deal goes into effect in 2023 and runs through 2030.
The soon-to-be 16 conference member universities will be sharing more than a billion dollars a year in revenue.
The annual deal is believed to be the richest ever for college sports.
The big increase won’t become active until the third season.
